Fabulous location and food. I had stayed here a few nights in May, and on a short trip to the UK returned again for dinner this week after craving their mussels. The food was just as good as I remember, but what really stood out was the service. I was having a bit of a crisis with my phone not working (which is terrifying when traveling internationally) and both DeeDee and Rachel went above and beyond to help when that is obviously not in their job description. They Googled a few videos to troubleshoot, and even helped me contact my spouse to let him know I was OK and having issues that would prevent me from calling or texting. Thankfully, we were able to get my device working… point of the story is, the mussels here were so good that had it not been for my craving them, I wouldn’t have received such extraordinary service, and the assistance that truly saved my brief trip. Who knows, perhaps my phone still wouldn’t be working.
Sun was shining Guinness was nice..I had a PLT dish.. The said PLT could of enjoyed some avocado in there to help flavour up the pea mushies fluorescent!.. chips were nice fries and day was fine..The bar is comfy too..not checked in for rooms but I'm sure as a stop by, they be fine..Cheers!
Lovely, excellent staff well looked after from Andrew helpful and friendly room small but everything you need. Unfortunately bathroom and wardrobe doors stick so having to leave open. Also vanity mirror has bulb out and too high. Full length mirror in room though. Comfy bed, pillows and linen. View stunning. Restaurant menu fabulous also food excellent quality. Not had breakfast yet it's continental. Highly recommend visiting. Will return in future. Here as I'll it's been wonderful. Well done everyone
The fish n chips was really good here but as a competition unfortunately the ship inn was better in my opinion. Chips were wedges and crisp outside with soft center and the fish filets were not watery inside to sog the batter.
100% a superb pub, bar, restaurant and hotel. Staff are superb, busy with locals and a great view over the harbour. It’s a must stay venue.
The pub is absolutely nice. Great whisky collection and many beers too.
We didn't stay at The Marine but called in for a drink a couple of times during our stay at Stonehaven Harbour. Nice bar with a good selection of beers. Staff are happy for customers to sample the beers. The food looked very good and we would have eaten here had we not made reservations at other restaurants in the harbour.
We were at the hotel after the funeral for the wake. It was held upstairs so we didn't have a room or anything. The upstairs was nice with views over the harbour. It was in March and wasn't the best of weather but I can imagine it's really nice in the summer. There are seats and tables outside, and I think it would be really nice sitting there on a summer day/night just watching the world go by. The food that was put on was really nice too, the sausage rolls were to die for and they kept emptying first. We are planning on going back up in the summer for a weekend to discover more of Stonehaven. No issue with staff either, they were more than helpful.
We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Would recommend.
I went to the pub, I loved the salmon soup. It was rich, creamy and tasty. As I really enjoyed the experience I went a second time during my stay to test the restaurant and it was even better. Thank you
